Beck found a passion for dance and live music after attending a taster dance class whilst watching local swing band, Lucky Seven, in 2008. She immediately dived into a week long intensive and soon became hooked. Beck’s favourite aspect of swing dancing is its ability to connect people of different backgrounds on the social dance floor, and she loves welcoming new people to the dance community. Beck believes that swing dancing is all about having a conversation with your dance partner through the dance, and she works with students develop their own voice. When she’s not grooving out on the dance floor, Beck is an avid player of old school video games and enthusiastic eater of delicious noms.
